I am an English major with a double minor in Creative Writing and Judaic Studies. I am working with Dr. Michele Osherow on a piece that explores the masculine roles of lover and soldier represented in two of Shakespeare’s plays, “Coriolanus” and “Richard III,” with special attention to how the language used draws attention to the body. My project also analyzes the relationships of the main characters with their mothers and how those relations may inform the characters’ roles as lover and soldier.
